This is not a normal competition

We won't be holding any normal events. This competition is focused on blindfolded events, with a single fewest move attempt to keep things interesting.

If you have not competed before, this may not be the best experience for your first competition. Sign up at CubingZA to get notifications for other competitions in your province.

Please be quiet. These events can require immense focus, so as the name of the competition suggests, competitors and spectators must remain quiet to ensure fair and equal conditions for all competitors. Those who continually make noise will be asked to leave without refund.

The venue is in a private venue in Bryanston. Access for all competitors and guests need to be arranged in advance. Failure to do so will result in you or your guests being denied access to the venue.
There is limited parking that needs to be arranged in advance. All competitors must please provide the following information:

  1. If you will be arriving by car, please provide registration number.
  2. If you will be getting a lift with someone, please provide the name of the person you will be getting a lift with.
  3. If using an Uber or other transport, please indicate this.

Once you have provided this information, you will be given the exact address.

Competitors may bring only one guest due to venue constraints. If a competitor is bringing a guest, then they must provide the full name and surname.

How to Register

Please note that there are THREE steps you need to take to be entered into this competition:

1) The competitor must create a WCA account if they do not already have one (or their parent/guardian must create one for them).
2) The competitor must register for the competition using their WCA account, specifying which events they want to participate in. You will then be placed on a waiting list.
3) The competitor must pay the entry fee by buying a ticket on Quicket. Once your registration is matched to a ticket purchase, you will be approved from the waiting list.

If you haven't both registered for the competition (Step 2) and paid for a ticket (Step 3), you will not be able to compete.

After registering for the competition on the WCA website, your registration will be pending. Once the payment through Quicket has been confirmed, your registration will be approved. (Allow up to 24 hours for the organizers to confirm the payment).

Please note that if you do not purchase a ticket through Quicket within 48 hours of registering on this page, you will be removed from the waiting list, and will need to return to this page to register again.

While we encourage you to register through the WCA website, competitors may instead register on the spot on one of the days of the competition provided the competitor limit has not been reached. Note however, that the past few competitions in Gauteng have reached the competitor limit prior to the competition.
